Test your app and site as users in each MENA market see them

Before a launch in the Gulf, Egypt or the Maghreb, check what each market really gets: currency, language, layout direction, payment options and redirects. A local home IP shows the version your users see.

Quick answer

How do I test my website or app for users in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Egypt?

Route your browser or test device through a residential IP in each country and walk through the main flows: currency, language, right-to-left layout, payment options shown and geo-redirects. MENA Proxies sells home IPs in 14 MENA countries at $1.88 for 1 GB, as of October 2026, with sticky sessions for multi-step tests. No KYC; paid in crypto.

How do I route a browser or test device through a MENA IP?

In a test browser, set the proxy to gw.menaproxies.com port 7777 with the username USERNAME-country-ae-session-qa1-ttl-30: the session keeps one UAE IP for 30 minutes, so a multi-step test of your own app stays on one IP. Playwright takes the username and password in its proxy settings (see the getting started guide); Puppeteer needs page.authenticate(), because Chrome ignores credentials in --proxy-server.

On a phone: iOS has Wi-Fi → Configure Proxy → Manual, with Authentication on. Android's Wi-Fi proxy has no username field, and the country is set in the username, so use an app or browser that has its own proxy setting; Chrome on Android may prompt for the credentials, and many apps ignore the system proxy. For checks where carrier networks matter, such as mobile-only offers, use rotating 4G/5G mobile traffic instead.

Puppeteer (Node.js): a UAE session for a QA pass
const puppeteer = require('puppeteer');

(async () => {
  const browser = await puppeteer.launch({ args: ['--proxy-server=http://gw.menaproxies.com:7777'] });
  const page = await browser.newPage();
  await page.authenticate({ username: 'USERNAME-country-ae-session-qa1-ttl-30', password: 'PASSWORD' });
  await page.goto('https://ipinfo.io/json');
  console.log(await page.evaluate(() => document.body.innerText));
  await browser.close();
})();

What should a geo-test not touch?

Test your own app and website, and third-party pages only as a normal visitor. Third-party payment portals are blocked on every plan, so a hosted payment page loaded from an outside provider will not open through the proxy; test the payment step with the provider's own sandbox instead. Banking and government sites are blocked too. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

How much traffic does a QA pass use?

A full browser pass through a modern site moves a few megabytes per page. 1 GB ($1.88) covers a short smoke test in a few countries; 10 GB ($5.94) covers a launch checklist across all 14. Traffic never expires. Prices as of October 2026.

Geo-testing: questions

Will my site see a real user location?

It will see a home IP from a broadband provider in the country you chose, which is what IP-based geolocation and geo-redirects read. Geolocation databases sometimes disagree about the city; the location check guide shows how to see what each one says.

Can I test right-to-left Arabic layouts?

Yes. Use an Arabic-market IP such as country-sa or country-eg, set the browser language to Arabic, and walk through the flows. Check mirrored navigation, icons, mixed Arabic and Latin text, and numbers inside Arabic sentences.

How long can one test session keep the same IP?

Sticky sessions last up to 30 minutes: for example, add -session-<id>-ttl-30 to the username. If the home connection behind the IP goes offline, the session can end early; start a new session ID and log in again.

Can I test in-app purchases?

Use the app store's sandbox or test accounts for purchases. Payment portals are blocked on every plan, and a proxy is not needed for sandbox payments.
