Quick answer
What is MENA Proxies allowed to be used for?
MENA Proxies is for lawful business checks on public pages and on your own services: prices and stock, ads and landing pages, local search results, app and website testing, brand protection and market research. Fraud, account takeover or bulk sign-ups, spam, fake ad traffic and anything that breaks the law where you are or where you connect end the account. Blocked on every plan: Banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587.
Who must follow this policy?
Every account holder, every sub-user, and anyone whose traffic carries MENA Proxies credentials: employees, clients, scripts and automated agents included. It covers residential and mobile traffic, dedicated ports, the website, the client area and the API, and it is part of the Terms of Service. The holder of the account answers for all of it.
What is it for?
Work that is lawful and respects the terms of the sites involved, such as:
- reading public prices, stock levels and delivery terms on online stores in the region;
- seeing ads, landing pages and search results as a user in a given country or city sees them, at a human pace;
- testing your own sites, apps and APIs from your users' countries;
- protecting a brand and researching markets from public information;
- running your own organisation's accounts on online platforms, under those platforms' rules.
What ends an account?
Using MENA Proxies, yourself or through someone else, for any of the following:
- fraud, scams or phishing, or helping them;
- stolen cards or credentials: testing, using or trading them;
- entering, seizing or mass-creating accounts that are not yours;
- spam or unsolicited messages on any channel;
- attacks, floods, or scans of systems without the owner's permission;
- bots that buy up tickets, scarce stock or bookings, or that farm promotions, bonuses and referrals;
- defeating identity, KYC, SMS or anti-fraud checks of other services;
- automatic CAPTCHA solving, or tools designed to beat bot detection or a site's deliberate blocks;
- fake ad impressions, clicks or installs;
- collecting personal data unlawfully, or any data behind other people's logins;
- malware, command-and-control traffic or illegal content;
- breaching sanctions, export controls or the law of your country or of the destination;
- reselling access without our written agreement.
Which regional laws matter most?
- IP-use offences: the UAE (Federal Decree-Law 34 of 2021, article 10) and Jordan (reported text of Cybercrime Law 17 of 2023) punish using another person's or a false IP address to commit or conceal an offence.
- Crypto restrictions: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and Tunisia ban or restrict crypto for residents; do not pay us in crypto from those countries.
- Sanctions: MENA Proxies publishes no pages for, and does not market, Iran, Yemen or Syria, and this policy forbids using the service for or on behalf of sanctioned people, entities or places. Some countries are not available, for legal or sourcing reasons, including countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions.
The overview of rules by country quotes the texts with sources; it is not legal advice.
Which targets are blocked?
In every country and on every plan, the gateway refuses banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. Getting around the block, for example by chaining another proxy or a tunnel through a MENA Proxies exit, is a breach, and so are repeated attempts to reach a blocked category.
What do we expect from you?
- Comply with the law where you are and where you connect.
- Respect the terms and robots.txt of the sites you visit, and give your crawler an honest user agent.
- Keep the pace reasonable and back off when a site answers 429 or 503.
- Guard your account number and proxy passwords, and replace any password that leaks.
- Make your sub-users, clients and agents follow these rules.
- Reply when we ask about traffic on your account.
What happens after a breach?
Depending on what we find or are told, and without notice where needed: a warning, a disabled sub-user, a suspension during the investigation, or closure. A closed account loses its balance and traffic, as the refund policy states.
How do I report abuse from one of your IPs?
Email [email protected] with the IP address, the date and time and their time zone, the target host or URL, what happened, and log lines or headers that show it. Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. The contact page explains what makes a report actionable.
What about requests from authorities?
We assess them and answer valid legal process as the applicable law requires, with only the records we hold, listed in the Privacy Policy. There are no identity documents to hand over, because we do not request them. Partner networks keep their own records.
Can this policy change?
Yes. The date at the top shows the version in force, notable changes are recorded in the changelog, and continuing to use MENA Proxies after a change means accepting it. Operator: ProxyGoat LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (USA).
